Great ‘bedside’ manner, approachable and a down to earth - no medical jargon- explanation to all procedures throughout, from the first appointment to the final post operation appointment. Everyone who is treated by Mr Chou is in safe (steady) hands.

Mr Chou was always pleasant in consultations and not in any way overbearing. His explanations were exactly what I wanted - not too complicated. On the day of the surgery and after he was quietly encouraging, and on my follow-up consultation some 7 weeks later I left feeling extremely positive about the progress of my knee. I am completely confident that the final outcome will be excellent. My short stay at The Spire was a very good experience, and I would recommend Mr. Chou and his team to anyone who might be a little nervous about having major surgery.

I found Mr Chou to be personable and professional. He is easy to talk to and answered all my questions without being condescending. Personally, I wasn't too keen to know the details of the surgery before I had it as I was pretty worried about it and didn't want any more information, but I'm sure that if you did he would happily take you through it. He was attentive in hospital and after the surgery he showed me what had been done and how it had gone. It is now 7 weeks after my surgery and I am happy with the outcome and feel that it has been a success; I am now looking forward to getting back to a normal active life again.

From my first meeting with Mr Chou, he put me at ease. The appointment was relaxed, but professional. I feel I could share a joke with Daud as a friend. Mr Chou explained every step of the procedure, giving me great confidence in him. The whole team at the Nuffield are friendly and efficient. I was even surprisingly relax in the pre operation room. The operation went extremely well and I was even awake and alert after the operation in the operating room and very talkative in the post operation recovery room. I left the recovery room by 5pm and was eating a hearty meal shortly afterwards after not eating from the previous night. Since leaving the hospital my recovery has been excellent and swift from my total knee replacement operation, I have been able to walk over 5 miles just 8 weeks afterwards. I even forget I have had the operation when was walking very quickly. It has now been 12 weeks since the operation and the wound has nearly disappeared. I am back on the bike tomorrow ! Thank you Mr Chou and the team for your excellent work and giving me back my active life.
